The Space Science Facilitator delivers live, presenter-led shows and automated films in Discovery Centre’s 65-seat Dome Theatre, and in communities across Nova Scotia via a portable outreach Planetarium. Additional objectives include engaging visitors and community members with hands-on space science activities, including facilitating educational content in an upcoming featured exhibition on astronauts and raising awareness of local space initiatives and Canada’s contribution to the Artemis program.

The STEAM Camp Counsellor works in the Science Education department and reports to the Manager of Science Education and the STEAM Camp Leader. The STEAM Facilitator provides an enthusiastic welcome to all visitors, encouraging their interaction with the centre’s exhibits in addition to delivering programs and demonstrations on a variety of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) topics.
