Tickets
During March 9th – 18th, tickets can be purchased online, prior to arrival, to avoid wait times. Tickets will also be available at the door each day.
Tickets are non-transferrable to other people or other time slots and are non-refundable.
Members are not required to purchase a ticket but need to show their membership card when they arrive to be fast-tracked through lines.

Hockey on the Spot (level 0)
Explore the exciting science behind the sport with a mix of hands-on experiments and competitive buzzer-beating trivia questions.
Science Demos, Touch Pool Shows & Ocean School (level 1)
Go from All Stars to sea stars, a slew foot to tube feet, getting up close and personal with the animals in our touch pool, and experience show-stopping flashes of excitement from our Science Demo stage and digital wonders with Ocean School.
Go Star Gazing (level 1 – not included in admission)
The Dome Theatre is a 65-seat accessible theatre equipped with 4K laser projection and Digistar 7’s advanced operating system. Reserve your seat for one of the most captivating experiences at Discovery Centre, fitting for all ages.
Magnificent Meteorite (level 2)
Examine real meteorite samples under our digital microscope and hold over 4 billion years of history in the palm of your hand.
Super Structures (level 3)
Design and build bridges, create skyscraping towers, and try your engineering know-how with some destructive testing!

Dome Theatre tickets are only available to buy in-person, for guests who have purchased admission. Showtimes are subject to change without notice any given time or day. Dome Theatre tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis.

Visit Ocean School, and experience 360-degree videos transporting you to Bella Bella, BC, an oyster farm in PEI, and tagging sharks in Costa Rica. Dive into VR and touchscreen experiences to learn more about marine habitats and plastic pollution.
March 11th, 1:00PM – 3:00PM
Meet Halifax Moosehead’s players and test your skills in a slapshot cage. Plus get signatures from some of the players!

Get hands-on and brains-on celebrating Brain Awareness Week with fun activities and special guest experts from the Brain Repair Centre, a world-class hub for neuroscience research, innovation, and education.

- Skip the line and reserve your spot by purchasing tickets online starting March 1st at 10:00 AM
- Select your time for 9am-12pm or 1pm-4pm, and provide the confirmation name at the door

Do Members need a ticket?
Members are not required to reserve a ticket. Please be prepared to show your membership card and photo ID when you arrive to be fast-tracked.
When can I purchase tickets?
Admission tickets for all sessions between March 9-18 will be available March 1st at 10:00 AM.
Can my group come during March Break?
Group bookings must be made in advance please see the Groups webpage to request a visit.
We are unfortunately unable to accommodate any birthday parties from March 9th – 18th.
