Science Educator (Bilingual)

The Educator develops and delivers creative, science programming for classrooms and informal settings across the province and for virtual learners through a variety of media. The Science Educator is responsible for ensuring learners of all ages develop their skills and literacy in important STEAM subjects through engaging lesson planning, facilitation, and the implementation of program evaluation tools.

Exhibit Technician

Are you a problem solver? Love fixing things or tinkering? Passionate about science and technology?

If so, the role of Exhibit Technician with Discovery Centre, Nova Scotia’s hands-on science centre, may be the best next step in your career journey. This entry-level position with the team responsible for the centre’s interactive exhibits provides a great opportunity to grow your experience in the world of visitor’s centres/museum exhibits or fabrication shops.

Science Educator (Bilingual)

The Science Educator will be responsible for ensuring learners of all ages develop their skills and literacy in important STEAM subjects through engaging lesson planning, facilitation, and the implementation of program evaluation tools.

Project Manager (Bilingual)

Are you an experienced project manager with an interest in science education? We are seeking an individual with a passion for climate change research and awareness with proven experience in coordinating projects with multiple stakeholders in both French and English, and in successfully meeting project timelines and budget requirements.

Events Coordinator

The Events Coordinator is responsible for the sale, planning, and delivery of event facility rentals including new business development, client service, setup, and execution of venue rentals within the 40,000 sq. waterfront facility.

Summer Positions

STEM Facilitator (Bilingual)

As a Bilingual STEM (Science/Technology/Engineering/Math) Facilitator you will be a member of the visitor experience team working in the fun and challenging setting of a hands-on science centre. The Facilitator will use both official languages to orient and assist visitors, interpret exhibits, and deliver exciting science demonstrations in the featured gallery of the centre.
