STEM Camp Counsellor

The main objective of the STEM Camp Counsellor is to co-develop and deliver exciting STEM activities for camp participants (ages 5-12). The youth will gain experience working in a team setting, delivering educational and recreational programs, and supervising youth.

Software Developer (Co-op Position)

The Software Developer is responsible for proactively connecting system architecture, developing, and implementing exhibits specific software goals. Join the Discovery Centre team as we automate our systems, develop new exhibit software, develop audience tracking systems and more.

Ocean/Energy Facilitator (Co-op Position)

The main objective of the position is to help create exciting and stimulating science education experiences for visitorsin the energy and ocean galleries. The position will facilitate public programming that provides visitors with exciting science demonstrations related to energy sources that are being developed from ocean, land, and technology within the province of Nova Scotia.

Marketing Coordinator (Co-op Position)

The main objective of this position is to develop a social media presence for Discovery Centre International, aproject operated by the Discovery Centre. The Marketing Coordinator will utilize their experience in social media to plan, execute, and maintain social media channels for the project.

Health Science Facilitator (Co-op Position)

The Health Science Facilitator’s role is to plan, develop, implement, and deliver engaging hands- on activities and presentations on the science of public health and communicable disease prevention in the Discovery Centre, online, and in communities across Nova Scotia.

Content Developer Assistant (Co-op Position)

The Content Developer Assistant is a motivated, innovative, articulate, and highly organized writer who assists in a variety of exhibit development functions. They have an insatiable curiosity about the world, a natural talent for telling a story, a post-secondary education, excellent verbal and writing skills, and the ability to think conceptually.

Climate Science Specialist (Co-op Position)

As a Climate Science Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering a positive visitor experience either through visitor interactions and activities through behind the scenes preparation of education materials anddocuments. The material covered will be local in nature and relate to a variety of climate change topics.

Development Officer (Full Time)

Reporting to the Manager of Partnerships, the Development Officer is responsible for the identification, cultivation and solicitation of prospective donors, preparation of partnership proposals, stewardship activities, and departmental administrative support.
