Level 0: Featured Exhibit, Atrium & Innovation Lab

Experience the secrets of the night at our Featured Exhibition “Worlds of the Night”. Step into a nighttime world full of immersive displays and hands-on activities. Solve the puzzle of how owls hunt in the dark, find out what makes fireflies glow, or navigate your way through a starry night sky. Plus, challenge your senses with critter sounds and night vision!

Level 1: Ocean & Orientation Gallery

This gallery explores the essential role the ocean plays in the welfare of our planet through wet and wondrous interactive exhibits. The adjacent Orientation Gallery offers a large holiday tree, adorned with twinkling lights, decorations and incredible views of the Centre from top to bottom.

Level 2: Flight, Health & Energy Galleries

Our three Level 2 Galleries are themed around health, flight, and energy and house over 100 exhibits for guests to enjoy. These STEAM-inspired experiences are the perfect way to celebrate the holidays this season.

Level 2: Program Rooms A&B

Discovery Centre’s private party room offers a welcoming and cheerful atmosphere; a great drop-in space for families to keep their belongings and enjoy a light snack and refreshments while taking a break from Centre exploration.

Level 3: Visitor’s Lounge

A brilliant space on our top floor overlooking Halifax’s active seaport district, Level 3 is Discovery Centre’s most versatile gallery, great for live entertainment, dancing and socializing. With floor-to-ceiling windows that provide incredible views and natural light, this gallery offers a warm holiday ambiance.
