Small can be mighty! Join our celebration of the tiniest life all around us and inside us.

For one weekend only, our first-floor Featured Exhibit Gallery will become a world of mighty microbes, where you can experiment, create, explore, and watch microscopic life in action. 

🔬 Visit a microbial zoo! Watch tiny organisms swim, motor, hunt, feed, and multiply, live on the big screen with expert guides interpreting the action.

🧬 Become a “gene-ius” detective with DNA activities and viral puzzles, create take-home microbial art, and explore the importance of microbes in nature, health, and everyday life. 

👩‍🔬 Scientists from Dalhousie University’s Institute for Comparative Genomics are here all weekend sharing their research and expertise through crafts, games, demos and more.

All activities are included in general admission, free for members.
