DESCRIPTION:Join Discovery Centre for Amazon Future Engineer Day\, September 23\, 2023\, 9am-4pm. \nFree Admission | Registration Required \nThe event will feature a day of special programming and activities designed to help more young people discover science and technology. \nAmazon Future Engineer is Amazon Canada’s comprehensive childhood-to-career program that increases access to computer science education for children and young adults from underserved and underrepresented communities. The program is aligned with Discovery Centre’s mission to bring STEAM to life through fun and interactive learning experiences and igniting a passion for science and discovery. \nThe event will feature a day-long slate of special activities that will introduce visitors of all ages to disciplines including robotics\, computer science and engineering.  Featured programming includes a robotics showcase that will allow visitors to get hands-on and test the agility of an AI-driven robot arm\, completing a series of ‘trick shot’ challenges and overcoming obstacles. \nAmazon Future Engineer Day at Discovery Centre takes place on Saturday\, September 23\, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Discovery Centre encourages all participants to preregister to avoid line-ups and to secure their entry as capacity limits will be in place. \nAdmission Tickets \nSelect September 23rd tickets\, select your preferred time slot (you can arrive any time in your time slot). Please show confirmation of ticket at arrival.

These activities are included in the purchase of admission and run 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. \nALSO\, drop by Point Pleasant Park between 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM to say hello to our coastal cleanup team and friends from Divert Nova Scotia and explore what was found back at the Centre in the afternoon. \nIn-centre activities are included with the purchase of admission.
