March Break at the Discovery Centre

Cats & Dogs The Exhibition gives every dog (and cat!) its day! The exhibit presents scientific, sociological and cultural knowledge about cats and dogs through a sensory and interactive journey largely devoted to games and simulations. The science of animal behaviour has advanced by leaps and bounds changing many preconceived ideas about cats and dogs regarding how they demonstrate their skills, awareness and intelligence every day.

Marvel as our trained staff perform a dazzling fire show. Experience this visual odyssey and discover the ingredients needed for fire through the fire triangle.

The Big Chill
Explore the realm of extreme cold and what happens to things in sub-zero temperatures. Colder than the coldest place on earth, liquid nitrogen will be used to flash freeze a flower and surprise you with what a balloon can do.

Under Pressure
We’ll show you why air doesn’t suck- it blows! Explore how we can shoot fog through the air using vortex rings and what a world without air pressure would look like.

Colourful Chemistry
We’re getting messy with a show that will get quite a reaction. Colour-changing chemicals, science cup monte, and an experiment that will blow your mind!
