The Discovery Centre is pleased to host an incredible project that celebrates Canada’s 150th with Canadian fashion retailer, Simons. 3DCanada is a first-of-its-kind, crowd-sourced art initiative. Acclaimed visual artist and Canadian author, Douglas Coupland, leads this incredible project while taking 3D scanned portraits of Canadians during this Canada-wide tour. The Discovery Centre is happy to host the tour’s final stop. Coupland will be taking 3D portraits of 125* lucky visitors, which will then be a part of the final 3D printed sculpture, representing Canadians in the 21st century. Participants will also receive their own 3D printed bust for taking part in this project.
