Ocean Gallery Facilitator

The Ocean Gallery Facilitator maintains the life support systems of aquaria. The facilitator is the person who tends to the flora and fauna and ensures that they are fed and receive everything they need to live and thrive in their environment. They maintain the tanks and their systems and perform routine cleanings of all components and living beings.

Science Camp Counsellor (Temporary)

The main objective of the job is to co-develop and deliver exciting, stimulating, hands-on science activities for camp participants (ages 5-14) and to give the student experience working in a team setting, delivering educational and recreational programs, while supervising youth.

STEAM Facilitator (Temporary)

Working with the staff and volunteers of the Visitor Experience team the main objective of the position is to deliver an exceptional experience to every Discovery Centre visitor.  The STEAM Facilitator (SF) does this by providing an enthusiastic welcome to all our visitors, encouraging their interaction with the centre’s exhibits in addition to delivering programs and demonstrations on a variety of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) topics.

Innovation Facilitator (Bilingual)

Supporting​ ​the​ ​Discovery​ ​Centre​ ​mission,​ ​the​ ​Part-Time​ ​Bilingual​ ​Innovation​ ​Facilitator​ ​(IF)​ ​is​ ​responsible for​ ​providing​ ​an​ ​exceptional​ ​experience​ ​to​ ​every​ ​visitor​ ​to​ ​the​ ​Michelin​ ​Corporate​ ​Foundation Innovation​ ​Lab.​ ​The​ ​IF​ ​provides​ ​an​ ​enthusiastic​ ​welcome​ ​to​ ​visitors,​ ​facilitating​ ​and​ ​encouraging​ ​their interaction​ ​with​ ​Innovation​ ​Lab​ ​activity​ ​stations​ ​and​ ​equipment​ ​in​ ​French​ ​and​ ​English​ ​as​ ​required.​ ​The​ ​IF maintains​ ​a​ ​safe,​ ​welcoming,​ ​creative​ ​space​ ​dedicated​ ​to​ ​hands-on​ ​STEAM​ ​(Science,​ ​Technology, Engineering,​ ​Arts​ ​and​ ​Math)​ ​education​ ​and​ ​developing​ ​the​ ​skills​ ​that​ ​foster​ ​innovation​ ​and​ ​an entrepreneurial​ ​spirit.

Front Desk Clerk

The Front Desk/Retail Clerk position is an important role within the Discovery Centre as it is our first point of contact with our members and visitors. It is important to be friendly and approachable as we welcome many visitors from around the world of all ages. The Front Desk/Retail Clerk requires a breadth of knowledge of the Centre and its offerings as they are an integral point of contact for visitors.  A successful candidate for the Front Desk/Retail Clerk position is outgoing, organized, diplomatic, creative, presents a professional image, and works well within a team environment.
